“Shikhu ka kya reaction tha?”: Janhvi Kapoor blushes when asked about Shikhar Pahariya at Ulajh’s.

Janhvi Kapoor, Roshan Mathew, director Sudhanshu Saria, singer Jubin Nautiyal, music composer Shashwat Sachdev and producer Amrita Pandey attended an event of their upcoming film Ulajh in a multiplex in Mumbai. They promoted the popular song from their film ‘Shaukan’. Interestingly, the event was named as ‘Meet The Shaukans’. The highlight of the event was Shashwat Sachdev and Jubin Nautiyal performing live. The other memorable moment was when Janhvi Kapoor was asked about her boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya. The journalist referred him as Shikhu and it raised laughs.

A journalist point-blank asked “Yeh gaana sunn ke Shikhu ka kya reaction tha?”. Janhvi immediately blushed and then laughed when Sudhanshu Saria asked aloud “Who is Shikhu?”. Upon realizing what the journalist meant, he took over, “Ma’am, you have asked a very good question. Shikhu was one of the first ones to hear the song.”

He also revealed, “Shashwat definitely created this song for Ulajh. But at the same time, he would keep Jahnvi in mind before composing. So the journey of the music that took 1 ½ years, woh specifically inke liye chali hai because in every song, she is present.” Janhvi Kapoor interestingly didn’t answer the question and the anchor made sure that a journalist quickly got the chance to ask the next question.

Recently, at a masterclass held by Pinkvilla, Janhvi Kapoor declared, “I am very happy in my life right now. Neither I nor him (Shikhar) has any time for multiplication right now.”

In an interview with Hauterfly, she hinted that she had only ever felt heartbroken once—when she and Shikhar had broken up earlier. She stated, “I have genuinely experienced heartbreak only one time in life, but the same person came back and put my heart together. So, it was all good.”

Backed by Junglee Pictures, Ulajh also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Rajesh Tailang and Meiyang Chang and releases in cinemas on August 2.
