Adipurush director Om Raut announces shoot wrap for Saif Ali Khan; shares pictures from sets

Saif Ali Khan who plays the antagonist in the pan-India film Adipurush directed by Om Raut has wrapped his portion for the film. On Saturday morning, Om Raut took to his social media handle to announce the shoot wrap of Saif Ali Khan. He also shared pictures of Saif’s shoot wrap celebration.

Om Raut shared two pictures of Saif Ali Khan cutting a cake with the words Lankesh written on it. Dressed in a red t-shirt and sporting a thick beard and mustache, Saif is seen cutting the cake in one picture and posing with the director in the other.

Adipurush is based on the Indian mythological tale Ramayana with Saif’s character based on Ravana. Prabhas will be seen essaying the role of Ram, while Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh will be seen as Sita and Laxman respectively.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama about working with Prabhas, Saif had said, “It is great working with Prabhas. It’s just mental working with him, I keep looking at him and he looks like Bahubali and he looks different while playing Ram. It’s quite overwhelming working with him. He is also a very fun person and we have quite a big laugh while doing various violent and action sequences. So, that’s always a big strength and he is thoroughly a gentleman and a very nice person.”

Adipurush is slated to hit the theatres on August 11, 2021.
