Aamir Khan has been one of the top most actors who have given us some unconventional yet commercial successful films. While his last release Laal Singh Chaddha failed to create a mark in the minds of people, the actor, who has always had an immense fan following, announced about taking a break from the world of Bollywood. This came as a shock to many of the actor’s ardent fans. During a recent interview, the superstar opened up about what prompted him to take a break.
In the said interview, Aamir Khan opened up about the pandemic times and how those challenges often left him and his loved ones vulnerable. The actor confessed that his hectic schedule often seeped into his personal time. However, the challenging Covid times made him realize the importance of people close to him and it prompted him to spend quality time with all of them. The actor is seen speaking about it in a video, wherein he said, “Covid made me realize how vulnerable not just you are but also all the people around you. You were also scared for people who are close to you. I think it was at that frame of mind did I start rethinking about people close to me.”
He continued, “My entire adult life, ever since I was an assistant director, I think films have been my passion but I have not been there for people around me. The self-realization was a big change for me. I am glad it happened now and not 20 yrs later. I am using this time to reconnect with people who are close to me.”
Aamir Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a remake of the Tom Hanks film Forrest Gump. The film also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, among others. It released in August 2022 alongside Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan.
