Three years ago, Alisha received a Facebook friend request from Zeeshan. That digital interaction led to a planned meet-up in the city, marking the start of their journey. However, Alisha’s first impression of Zeeshan was unexpected. “I was wearing heels, and I thought he was kinda short. But since I was expecting only a friendship, I didn’t mind much,” she recalled with a smile.

For Zeeshan, however, the moment was magical. “When I saw her for the first time, I was happy to see that she was the same height as me. It made us a cute pair!” he shared.

Their connection deepened when Alisha moved to Sigatoka for work. Adjusting to a slower-paced town after years in Suva was difficult, but Zeeshan became her pillar of support. Zeeshan made sure distance didn’t become an obstacle. “After my night shifts, I would travel every weekend to see her. It was tiring, but love makes everything worth it,” he said.

One of Zeeshan’s fondest memories is Alisha waiting in his car for eight-hour shifts when she visited him in Suva. “No one else would do that,” he said, touched by her dedication.

For Alisha, the most emotional moment was hearing Zeeshan say Qubool Hai on their wedding day. “It melted my heart. After all those years of wondering about marriage, it finally happened.”

Now, as they embark on this new chapter, both are excited about building a home together. “Whatever happens in life now, I know I have my life partner by my side,” Zeeshan expressed.
