Abhishek Bachchan celebrates 15 years of Guru.

Abhishek Bachchan is celebrating 15 years of the release of his film Guru. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Guru hit the theatres on January 12, 2007. The actor took to Twitter to share a clip from the film on the occasion. Abhishek’s performance as Gurukant Desai won him appreciation from all corners and the film is also special for him as he was seen in it alongside his wife Aishwarya Rai.
Abhishek Bachchan, who was last seen in Bob Biswas, cemented his place in Bollywood with Mani Ratnam’s Guru. Today the film has completed 15 years of its release. Sharing a clip from the film, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “15 years! Time flies .”
Many replied to the tweet and praised Abhishek’s performance in the film. A Twitter user wrote, “Your finest film till date .”
A fan wrote that whenever he feels low he watches Guru. “@juniorbachchan “Khada ho jaon ya iske liye bhi license chahiye?” Seen Guru once again yesterday night again , when ever I feel low I see Guru & recharge myself, what a power packed performance u have, wow ,” read the tweet.
Guru was based on the life of India’s biggest business tycoon, late Dhirubhai Ambani. The film also starred Vidya Balan, R Madhavan and Mithun Chakraborty. Mallika Sherawat appeared in a song titled Mayya Mayya.
