World Dance Day is also referred to as International Dance Day and is celebrated on April 29 to commemorate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, a French dancer and ballet master known as the father of modern ballet.
Theme for 2023 is Sharing the joy of dance without limitations based on race, ethnicity, or culture.
