Karan Johar reveals Ranbir Kapoor refused to appear on Koffee With Karan 7, here’s why

Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan is soon going to be back to entertain us with its 7th season. Ever since the filmmaker announced its next season, fans have been anticipating to see their favourite celebrities spill all the beans on that couch. Well, it seems there is heartbreaking news for all the Ranbir Kapoor fans out there as KJo has revealed that the Brahmastra Part One: Shiva actor refused to appear on KWK7.
During a conversation with Film Companion, Karan Johar revealed why Ranbir does not want to be a part of the upcoming season of Koffee With Karan. He told Anupama Chopra, “Ranbir Kapoor has told me that I am not coming on the show. He is like, ‘I’d have to pay the price for too long. Why should I do this to myself’. He said, ‘I love you, I will meet you in your house and talk to you. You give me coffee at home. I am not coming to your show.”
Imitating Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar said, “Mujhe please show pe mat bulao, mujhe bahot tension hoti hai (Please do not invite me to your show, I feel very tense).”
Earlier this year, just like his movies, Karan Johar announced the return of Koffee With Karan on OTT platform in a dramatic manner. He earlier announced in a statement that KWK won’t be returning, and after some time, in another post, he revealed that it won’t be returning to TV. Karan shared a statement that read, “Koffee With Karan will not be returning…on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist, I’m delighted to announce that Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar! The biggest movie stars from across India will return to the couch to spill the beans while drinking some Koffee. There will be games, there will be rumours put to rest – and there will be conversations that go deep, about love, loss and everything we’ve been through over the last few years. Koffee With Karan, ‘streaming’ soon only on Disney+ Hotstar. Toodles! – Karan Johar.”
Meanwhile, talking about his upcoming projects, the filmmaker will be next seen directing Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
