Manoj Bajpayee reveals he never shared a ‘friendship’ with Shah Rukh Khan; says, “Our paths never cross”.

Manoj Bajpayee and Shah Rukh Khan came from the same acting group, their career trajectory and paths have always remained different. While SRK is one of the biggest superstars of the country and has been part of commercial films, Manoj Bajpayee chose a more unconventional path when it came to films. However, the two actors have had their own share of fan following over the years. Considering that they once shared the same group, Manoj opened up about his bond with King Khan and revealed that they soon went their separate ways and never really happened to be friends.
In an interview with Jist, he opened up about starting his career with Shah Rukh Khan in the same group and said, “Milna to nahi hota. Do alag alag duniya ke log hum ho chuke hai. To humare raastein nahi takrate. Uss samay bhi dosti aisi nahi thi, uska apna ek friend circle tha, mera apna ek friend circle tha. Ek hee group mein the hum log, jab ek hee group mein kaam karte ho to sabke saath jaan pehchaan hoti hai, sabke saath uthna baithna hota hai, sabke saath khana hota hai.(We don’t really met. We have become people from two different worlds. So, our paths never cross. We were never really friends then too. He had his own friend circle and I had mine. Yes, we were from the same group but even then, we only knew each other because we would work together, would interact and eat together, but that’s all)”.
Manoj Bajpayee recently received a lot of love for his portrayal of a lawyer in Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai whereas Shah Rukh Khan earned immense success at the box office with three releases wherein Pathaan and Jawan went on to become record-breaking films.
