OMG 2 Advance Booking Report: Akshay Kumar’s film sells 7,700 tickets for Day 1 across.

The Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 has taken an average start in advance booking across the national multiplex chains. As of Sunday morning at 7 am, the film has sold approximately 7,700 tickets across the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The social comedy has seen average movement in advance booking over the last 3 days and will now be targeting to garner pace.

The initial response to OMG 2 is better than all the Akshay Kumar releases in the post-pandemic world and the hope is now on the film to consolidate the initial pace of bookings over the next few days, laying the platform for the film to take a decent start. The Amit Rai directorial should be targeting to sell 50,000 to 60,000 tickets in the three chains by Thursday night, which would be the highest for an Akshay Kumar film in the post-pandemic world.

A booking in the range of 50,000 will put the film in a spot of opening around the Rs. 7 crore mark, and from there on it would be on the word of mouth to ensure a good trending for OMG 2. The film is facing competition from Gadar 2, and unlike the Sunny Deol film, is a lot more niche in terms of appeal. The adult certificate has curtailed the reach further and hence, it’s imperative for OMG 2 to command good word of mouth among the audience.
