Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to move back to Rs. 165 crores worth LA mansion.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ dream home turned into a nightmare after discovering extensive mold infestation in their Los Angeles mansion. Back in February 2024, it was reported that the couple had been locked in a legal battle with the sellers since May 2023, accusing them of failing to disclose these issues before the sale. However, as per the latest update, the couple and their daughter might soon move into their residence.

According to a report in The Sun, recent aerial shots show the mansion under significant renovation with scaffolding covering a large portion of the house. While the repairs seem nearing completion, an official move-in date for the couple remains undisclosed.

Several changes are visible around the property, hinting at the repairs underway. One side of the house is covered in scaffolding, likely for roof repairs related to the waterproofing problems. The exterior has been painted a bright white, and a large balcony wraps around the back of the house.

The once sparkling pool now sits empty, with exposed gray tiles. A flat section of the roof appears to be undergoing conversion into an outdoor area with new tiling, possibly replacing the mold-affected area. Temporary structures like porta potties and parked cars with construction workers around them indicate ongoing activity at the mansion.

According to a Page Six report, the luxurious property, purchased in 2019 for $20 million (approx. Rs. 165 crores), became ‘virtually unlivable’ due to water damage and mold growth. The sprawling estate boasts 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, home theater, bowling alley, spa, and a temperature-controlled wine cellar. Problems began soon after the purchase, with faulty waterproofing allegedly leading to leaks in the pool, spa, and barbecue areas. This resulted in ‘mold contamination and related issues,’ posing a potential health hazard, as mentioned in the lawsuit filed by the couple.

With their young daughter Malti Marie’s safety a priority, Chopra and Jonas were forced to move out and find temporary accommodation elsewhere in Los Angeles. The lawsuit seeks ‘consequential damages’ from the sellers to cover the repair costs estimated between $1.5 million and $2.5 million, along with compensation for the inconvenience and loss of use of the property.
