Priyanka Chopra took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing family vacations as a child. Additionally, she revealed in a new interview that her late father, Dr Ashok Chopra, would make a special seat for her in the trunk of the automobile, complete with ’mattresses and blankets.’ The actor added that her current definition of vacation is to travel like a ‘nomad’ and not to adhere to rigid schedules, in contrast to her mother, Madhu Chopra, and husband, singer Nick Jonas. Priyanka, who recently welcomed her first child with Nick, called 2022 a “life-changing year” for her.
In an interview Priyanka stated, “This has been a truly life-changing year for me. This marks the beginning of the next decade of my life. I’m not sure what we’ll do yet because my husband and I coordinate our birthdays, but I know how I want to feel.” Priyanka will turn 40 on July 18.
Priyanka recounted her childhood vacations, when she sat in a special trunk seat. “There were numerous mattresses and blankets, and my father would designate that area as my secret hiding place. I did not realise until much later that it effectively purchased him an additional seat for someone else. However, it used to be rather magical in the trunk with the baggage – it was like having my own private castle made just for me.” Priyanka also recalls travelling by road with her family during their summer vacations in India.
The actress, who has not visited India in two years, also expressed her desire to return. She lauded India’s diversity, stating, “every time you cross the border in India, it’s like going to a new country.” According to Priyanka, travelling includes ‘not always adhering to plans’ and ‘being a nomad when travelling.’ Additionally, she added that Madhu and Nick are “completely different.”
In the meantime, Priyanka will appear in the next film It’s All Coming Back to Me. Sam Heughan, Russell Tovey, Steve Oram, Omid Djalili, Sofia Barclay, Lydia West, Arinzé Kene, and Celia Imrie all star in the picture, which is scheduled to open in the United States on February 10, 2019. The film was previously named Text for You. It’s All Coming Back to Me is produced by Screen Gems and distributed by Sony Pictures.
Priyanka has recently wrapped filming for her Amazon series Citadel and will co-star in the upcoming action flick Ending Things alongside Anthony Mackie. She’ll also star alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
