When Aamir Khan did not offer his lunch, ‘curd rice’ to 13-year-old Deepika Padukone – here’s what happened

Deepika Padukone turns another year older and wiser today, but even if we grow old there are some of the traits that do not tend to leave us and Deepika is no different. The 83 actress is a die-hard foodie and her love for food takes us back to a funny incident that happened with her when she was 13.

Yes, you read that right. On Deepika’s special day we bring an anecdote from the past when the actress was 13 and met Aamir Khan. Deepika had once shared a throwback picture featuring Aamir and her parents.

The actress who stated that she is always ‘hungry’ once shared a throwback photo from 2000 in which she can be seen posing with Aamir. The photo features Deepika’s father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, and sister Anisha.

Sharing the picture Deepika had once shared a hilarious story. She wrote, “Major throwback to January 1, 2000. I was 13 and awkward. I still am. He (Aamir Khan) was having lunch. Curd Rice to be precise. I was hungry like I always am. But he didn’t offer and I didn’t ask”. Well, we all know that Deepika is a South Indian and her love for desi food is unconditional. Seems like she was pretty upset that Aamir did not offer her curd rice and she ended up sharing the story with fans years later!

In the picture we can see a glimpse of teenage Deepika, rocking pants and shirts. She is looking very gorgeous in her throwback picture.

Well, even though Deepika missed having the delish lunch with Aamir ‘then’, but she has always found his support ‘now’ when it comes to her career. Aamir had even given a shout-out to Deepika’s film Chhapaak. On the work front, the actress is currently basking the success of her recently released film 83 that also features her husband Ranveer Singh. Deepika will be seen in a few movies in the future such as Pathan, The Intern Remake, Gehraiyaan and a few more big budget projects.
